How to balance the stresses of deadlines, work, and socialising.

The pressures of balancing your social life, a job and deadlines can be extremely stressful.

Speaking from current experience, I have attempted to balance the above three. Trying to see your friends at the weekend, while working Saturday and Sunday can be near-on impossible, and that's why I have created 3 top tips to help you organise your weeks!

1. Manage your time wisely through the week. If you find yourself having a 2 hour break after working for half an hour, you need to try and motivate yourself to get as much work done as possible! This way, you will have more 'you' time at the weekend. If you do work the weekends, ensure you don't over-do it. You're only human, and like everyone else, we all need some time to ourselves.

2. Get your work done before you socialise! Get your work done, then you can think to yourself 'you're worthy of going out tonight' otherwise, like myself, I would constantly think of the work I'm yet to do while out attempting to 'enjoy myself'.

3. Try to stay off social media. This will help you get your work done so much quicker!! Plug your phone in, take 2 hours out of your day away from social media. You will not only get your work done quicker, but it's nice to sometimes take a breath from the false posts and statues that are posted 24/7 on sites such as Snapchat and Instagram.

I guarantee you, if you try and stick to the above tips, you will feel not only better in yourself but also healthier! I work early mornings on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, however I work early mornings and start at 6 a.m until 11 a.m. Through prioritising my classes at uni and being flexible around this has resulted in me becoming so much more efficient with time management and having a more routined week!

I'll make regular updates on this topic, as it's something I really do feel passionate about, as I know how hard and stressful it can be, especially when you're wanting to work more hours around Christmas!
